At the moment im focusing on the main task which is the opening title sequence, i have researched childrens programmes that use a human in their programme rather than all animated as this isnt what my project is about.
The Sooty Show: 25 seconds
Balamory: 1 minute 35 seconds
The Tweenies: 34 seconds
Doodlebops: 1 minute 7 seconds
Come Outside: 30 seconds
Lazy Town: 54 seconds
Playdays: 40 seconds
As you can see the timings differ between 25s - 1m 35s... however the majority are under 1m.
Some of these childrens programmes are from the 90's, i chose to include these as some of them were what i use to watch and they are still memorable today and also the theme songs have stuck in my head so i thought these were good examples to follow any conventions that may have been used back then to give a better impact to the children to keep them interested and also recognisable to them if they were to see a character or here the theme song they would instantly relate these to the programme aswell as any new conventions they use today.

Childrens Title Sequence
For my coursework i am working alone and doing a Childrens TV Title Sequence thats non animated.
For my preliminary task i need to produce;
For my preliminary task i need to produce;
- Front page of a childrens magazine
- DVD cover of the tv programme
My initial idea is to have a 'tv presenter' along with producing the 'catchy sing-a-long' opening theme song and using them to film short snippets of them performing stuff from what would be future series
Eg: with the use of editing techniques swapping from different parts of the series where they are creating things, playing games- highlights.
